The racing industry is renowned for having been built on loyalty and commitment.
They are qualities not as prevalent in the modern era, but regardless they still provide the backbone to successful partnerships.
Partnerships like Toowoomba Turf Club and TAB.
The racing financial partners this year signed off on a new sponsorship deal which helps shore up Clifford Park’s racing future for a further five years.
It’s the latest strengthening of ties between TTC and TAB with benefits for both sides continuing to flow since the betting giant’s initial commitment to back Toowoomba racing.
TAB Racing Industry Team Queensland representative David Salmon said his organisation’s strengthening bond with TTC was proving a winner, not only for Clifford Park but the Southeast Queensland racing industry as a whole.
TAB’s investment in Toowoomba racing is highlighted with its backing of next week’s Weetwood race day which includes its ongoing sponsorship of the $125,000 TAB Toowoomba Cup.
David believes mutual support is the underlying strength of TAB’s commitment to TTC
“The Toowoomba club has such a rich history and we are proud to be a part of that,” David said.
“The bond between TAB and Toowoomba Turf Club is long standing.
“With the signing of a new five-year agreement in January we now have the ability to throw more support behind the club.
“Generally we are good mates with some “old school”, if you like, commitment to each other.
“Toowoomba is an integral part of what is our ‘ring of green’.
“That includes the Ipswich, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Rockhampton clubs, which we also support.
“We want to see those five clubs thrive and they are all working for the same goals which benefits us all.
“It’s people working together.
“Next week it’s Toowoomba’s turn to showcase it’s Weetwood day.
“It’s a big week and another part of an amazing history.”
